The Live Archive is enriched with full-length testimonials from Daniela, Paola, Alessandra and Kathia, four totally different Lunàdigas who tell us about different aspects of experiencing non-motherhood.
Daniela retraces the steps of her choice to not have children, which came after having also evaluated assisted procreation; Paola strongly claims her right to escape from an education that expects women to become mothers only because this is a biological opportunity they have; Alessandra talks about her relationships with men and their reactions to her lunàdiga choice; Kathia speaks of her “natural penchant for non-motherhood”, reinforced by her peculiar family experience.
Two new literary appointments in the Stories section: the complete monologue Rosa Luxemburg (only italian version), taken from Monologhi impossibili. Le esclusive rivelazioni di 35 mitiche Lunàdigas, (Arkadia Editore) by Carlo Antonio Borghi, a tribute to one of the greatest revolutionary philosophers in the world, and Claudia Mazzilli’s review of Annie Ernaux’s book, A frozen woman, (New York: Four Walls Eight Windows, translated by Linda Coverdale) in which the author boldly talks about women “frozen” by the obligations of motherhood.
